When Greg Marsden and his wife Danelle decided to update their 20-year-old kitchen, they focused on the existing “good bones” of the space. The team at CSW were ready to help update the kitchen island and fireplace surround.

The cabinets, beginning to take on an orange cast, were stripped and re-stained. The kitchen island, previously topped with laminate was given a custom fabricated granite top. “The team from CSW, specifically, Graham Power, helped with our stone decisions. His knowledge about products and finishing helped us to make the best decisions for our space.”
Blue Flower Leathered Granite Island
The kitchen island is topped with a stunning Blue Flower Leathered Granite. The edge treatment is ogee, a unique detail. Leathered granite has a matte finish that brings out the veining in natural stone. The same granite was used to update the fireplace in the family room. This delivers a cohesive flow of color and texture.
